Achieveing excellence in Christian Life...

This list was handed to me on my first day of orientation at SEBTS. I've adapted it slightly from it's original intention for seminary students, however, it's a rockin list of principles for life non the less!

  1. Maintain your quiet time.
  2. Guard your Marriage/Family.
  3. Pursue holiness by protecting your thought life, maintaining your integrity, and avoiding the places of temptation and compromise.

  4. Watch closely and live wisely with your finances.

  5. Maintain a humble and teachable spirit.

  6. Commit to becoming a lifetime student of the Scriptures.

  7. Learn to work with and get along with people. (in other words...develop some people skills!)

  8. Be responsible and wise in your service to the Lord.

  9. Find a passion for the great commission.

I wish I could say that I have even half of this list down to perfection in my life!
